This page explains how PlanBet handles your personal information, protects your account, and supports responsible gambling. We collect only what we need to run our service safely and legally, and we never sell your data.
Responsible Gambling
Gambling should be a form of entertainment, not a way to earn money or solve financial problems. If you feel you are losing control, help is available.
PlanBet offers several tools to help you manage your play:
- Deposit limits: Set daily, weekly, or monthly caps on how much you can deposit. - Loss limits: Restrict the total amount you can lose over a set period. - Session time limits: Automatically log you out after a chosen number of minutes per session. - Reality checks: Receive pop-up reminders showing how long you’ve been playing. - Cooling-off periods: Take a break from gambling for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. - Self-exclusion: Block your account for a minimum of six months. During this time, you cannot log in, deposit, or play.
You can adjust most limits instantly through your account settings. However, any request to increase a limit will only take effect after a 24-hour waiting period. This delay gives you time to reconsider.
Warning signs of problem gambling include chasing losses, lying about how much you’ve spent, borrowing money to gamble, or feeling restless when trying to cut down. These are common and treatable issues. Not moral failings.
Free, confidential support is available through the National Responsible Gambling Programme (NRGP). You can also register with South Africa’s national self-exclusion system to block access across multiple licensed operators.
To protect minors, PlanBet only allows players aged 18 and over. We verify age and identity during registration. If you share a device, consider using parental control software like Net Nanny or K9 Web Protection to restrict access.
Account Terms and Fair Play
Only one account per person is allowed, and you must be physically located in South Africa to register. Providing false details may result in account closure.
Before your first withdrawal, we require identity and address verification as part of anti-money laundering checks. This usually involves uploading a copy of your ID and a recent utility bill.
Bonuses come with terms: wagering requirements, eligible games, expiry dates, and caps on how much you can withdraw from bonus funds. Attempting to abuse bonuses, such as by opening multiple accounts or using bots, will void any offer and may lead to forfeiture of winnings.
Inactive accounts (no login for 12 months) may incur a dormancy fee after written notice.
We prohibit collusion, automated play, fraudulent chargebacks, and any attempt to manipulate game outcomes. Breaches may result in frozen funds or referral to authorities.
If you have a complaint, contact PlanBet’s support team first. If unresolved within 10 business days, you may escalate it to the relevant regulatory body overseeing licensed operators in South Africa.
We may update these terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email or site notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
